About the T.A.E.I.L. Community
Informational Overview — taeilcommunity.org (Not Currently Operational)
A calm, dignified public and future-community space built around what actually matters: reflection, remembrance, mutual care, and living with intention.
taeilcommunity.org is the public and future-community domain of T.A.E.I.L. — separate from taeil.life, which will host sensitive personal and family services such as Sanctuary and Memorial. This page explains what you can explore here today, and what each area of the community is planned to offer once T.A.E.I.L. completes the safeguarding, privacy, legal, and technical foundations required to open it responsibly.
None of the account, posting, feedback, listing, or search systems described below currently exist. Every feature on this page is a future feature, presented for transparency and planning purposes only.
Visitors, Users, and Members
The community is being built around three future roles:
- Visitors can explore public information without an account, in a read-only view, including anything an author has deliberately chosen to make public, and the future Community Resources library.
- Users will be verified adults who complete real-name identity verification, agree to community rules, and remain in good standing. Verified Users will eventually be able to read, like, and follow in Shared Reflections, and use The Cleanse, request-and-accept messaging, Circle of Care, privacy-led discovery, and Garage Sale.
- Members will be verified Users with an active membership entitlement, gaining access to everything Users can access, plus the ability to comment on and share their own reflections in Shared Reflections, The Members' Voice, and the sensitive personal services on taeil.life.
Identity verification supports mutual accountability, but it does not make a person's legal name public — chosen display names are the default. Seeing someone in search, a public reflection, or a shared group never grants access to their private Sanctuary or Memorial.
Beliefs & Traditions
Beliefs & Traditions is an open educational library exploring how different faiths, cultures, and philosophies understand life, death, mourning, and legacy — including world faiths and philosophies, cultural rituals of remembrance, and grief literacy across traditions. It is available to explore now, without an account, and is designed with sensitivity and mutual respect for diverse beliefs.
Shared Reflections
Shared Reflections is a future moderated reflective community space — not a conventional social-media feed. It is designed for sharing lived experience, life lessons, meaningful thoughts, humane questions, remembrance, gratitude, and celebration, so that others may pause and reflect. Future Member contributors will choose their own audience (authenticated community, or public by explicit request) and their own response setting (no responses, thoughtful responses, or open discussion) for each reflection they share. Once it launches, public reflections will be readable by Visitors, verified adult Users will be able to like and follow, and verified adult Members will be able to comment and share their own reflections, with careful human-reviewed moderation and no real-time crisis monitoring.
The Cleanse
The Cleanse is a future private ritual-release feature for words, thoughts, anger, grief, or regret a person is ready to let go of. Unlike Shared Reflections, it is strictly private and non-social — there is no public posting, sharing, comments, reactions, or feed of any kind. It is intended for verified adult Users and Members, with possible future release directions (such as Void, Pyre, Ocean, and others) still under design, accessibility, safeguarding, and technical review. It is not therapy, a crisis line, or a guarantee of emotional relief.
The Members’ Voice
The Members' Voice is a future Member-only feedback feature — a way to be heard, not a governance mechanism. It will be reserved for verified adult Members in good standing. Feedback will be actively sought and taken seriously, but it does not create ownership, voting rights, governance control, or a guarantee that any proposal will be adopted. During the founder-led pre-launch phase, operational decisions rest with the Founder/CEO; after incorporation, formal governance follows T.A.E.I.L.'s governing documents and Canadian not-for-profit law.
Community Resources
Community Resources is a future publicly readable resource library, planned to be available without an account. It aims to offer carefully selected, plain-language starting points for reflection, grief, remembrance, practical preparation, mutual care, culture and traditions, and accessibility. It is not a crisis, clinical, legal, medical, or financial service, and it will not be a complete or continuously maintained directory when it first opens.
Garage Sale
Garage Sale is a future verified-community peer-to-peer used-item listing space, intended to help neighbours pass on cherished items and household goods within a trusted network. It will not hold payments, provide escrow, arrange shipping, or guarantee any transaction — buyers and sellers will coordinate directly. It belongs only to taeilcommunity.org and will not appear anywhere in the taeil.life navigation.
Get Involved
Get Involved explains the ways people can support T.A.E.I.L.'s mission today — through outreach, feedback, and future volunteering pathways — separate from any live membership purchase or campaign, since T.A.E.I.L. remains in a pre-registration, pre-incorporation build phase.
What is not available yet
To avoid any confusion, none of the following are operational today on taeilcommunity.org:
- Account creation, registration, login, or identity verification
- Posting, replying, or browsing live Shared Reflections
- Using The Cleanse or any release action
- Submitting feedback through The Members' Voice
- Searching or browsing a complete Community Resources library
- Listing, messaging, or transacting through Garage Sale
- Any Member-only service on taeil.life
These systems will remain inactive until full Canadian federal non-profit incorporation, independent safeguarding review, privacy impact assessments, and technical security testing are complete.
